My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chardonnay is a beautiful and functional livestock guardian dog who is said to be a Pyrenees Anatolian mix with an estimated birthdate of 11/01/2023. She came to Murci's Mission from a local family who lost control of the quantity of unaltered dogs they had.

Chardonnay is a calm and well tempered dog who successfully works stock. She is a bit shy with people but fine once she knows you, so will need someone that will give her time to settle in. She is amiable to other dogs and safe around children. She is recovering from entropion repair and spay and is ready to find her new calling.

Chardonnay comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her medical records, leash, collar, and ID tag. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
