My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Judie! Judie is a sweet old gal who was found curled up on a stranger’s porch, so emaciated she could barely walk. We will probably never know if she was dumped, or if she wandered off and never found her way back home. What we do know is, Judie is gentle and loving and just wants to be your friend. She is estimated around 8 years old. She is a special dog who is SO deserving of a comfy place to land.

As always, any kids or dogs will need to come in for a meet and greet. Judie needs a home without cats!More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
