I am unable to deactivate Benito's profile, despite clicking many times. We are attempting to socialize him to make him more adoptable.
Benito is 1 year 8 month old neutered male Australian Shepherd. We adopted him at age 7 months as his previous owners were unable to give him the space/attention/socialization he needed. We previously adopted a 3 year male Aussie-mix, so thought Benito would make a great addition to our family. Unfortunately, the two dogs do not get along and have to be kept separate. Benito is reactive to new people and other dogs, thus an experienced adopter is requested.
Benito is house-trained, crate-trained and very smart. He learns tricks easily (especially if treats are involved!) He enjoys playing fetch and is a great catch. Once he knows you, he is a loving boy. It breaks my heart that we were not successful in acclimating Benito to our family. He has so much potential. Benito would do well in a single pet home that can better foster his star qualities.
