My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Milo is one year old! He celebrated with a peanut butter pumpkin beef broth cake that he said was the best thing he ever tasted and he even shared some slices with his foster siblings. Milo came into foster care at 6 months of age, so he has now spent half of his short life looking for a forever home. He has come so far- from being absolutely terrified of everything to being completely comfortable in his temporary home. Life outside of his comfort zone is still a little scary, so it takes him a while to warm up to new faces and places, but he is doing so well and learning so much! He is house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in a car and even knows a few tricks! Milo is doing well overcoming separation anxiety. He is not a fan of a crate, but he can calmly relax in his favorite comfy spot alone for 4-5 hours at a time. His ideal home would be quiet and calm with a safe fenced yard for him to get out his zoomies. Milo would make the best work from home buddy! We are willing to accommodate multiple meet and greets to ease the transition into his forever home. Is there room in your heart and on your couch for this sweet shy boy?

Funkie Kelso Mr. Milo needs your help! Please give him a share so he can find his forever home!

Milo is just over a year old. He has blossomed into such a sweet, smart, lovable goofball from the terrified pup he was when he first arrived in his foster home.

Milo loves:
Playing outside in any weather, especially snow!
ALL the toys, especially chew bones
Snuggling close to his favorite people
Sleeping with all four paws stretched in the air
Learning new things! Milo is a quick learner and will thrive with continued training.

Milo needs:
Patience! He takes daily medication for anxiety, but his forever family will need to continue working with him to build confidence and learn that the world is not such a scary place.
A calm home environment- Milo is a true introvert and needs time to warm up to new faces and places.
Milo would prefer a family who is home more often than not. He can be anxious when left alone, although this is much better with medication.
A safe place to play. Milo has a history of bolting when he is scared, so a fenced yard or secure leash at all times is a must.

More about this rescue

Here at Cross Your Paws Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save lives. We are doing our part in making the world a better place for all pets. Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can. Please help us make this world a better place for every furbaby.
