Meet Callie!

Callie is estimated to be 13 months old. We say estimated because she came to us on May 25th when she was found with her 2 siblings, her mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage.

Callie and her two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done to see what was going on with them. The test came back as positive for FHV which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause her to sneeze, showing signs of a little cold. A flareup may happen whenever something stressful comes up and being left in a dog crate at a park is probably what brought it on. It is not a serious condition, but it is contagious to other cats (not to dogs and humans). The full diagnosis name is Feline Herpes Virus. A good diet and a stress-free environment would be excellent for her.

Callie is a little lady. She is petite like her mother Peaches and has the softest fur ever felt. She is playful with her brothers but when she has enough, she goes her own way. You can find her in their cat tree gazing out the window looking at the birdies.

Callie is curious about the dog in her foster home, and we feel that with proper introduction she would do well with a small cat friendly dog.

Callie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, combo tested negative, rabies and microchipped.
