Meet Leif: A Gentle Soul Needing Your Help💔
Sometimes, life throws the sweetest souls the toughest challenges. Leif is one such gentle heart. This affectionate, medium-sized boy was pulled from a neighboring county’s euthanasia list, where his fate was almost sealed. We couldn’t stand by and let this submissive, loving dog be lost.
Leif is now safe with us, but our journey together is just beginning. He’s been diagnosed with a severe case of heartworms, and while this is treatable, it’s going to be a long, costly road to recovery. Despite his health battle, Leif remains incredibly sweet and loving, craving affection and comfort.
Leif needs a calm foster, or foster-to-adopt, home where he can rest and heal for the next couple months while he recovers. He’s seems to be good with other dogs and cats, walks beautifully on a leash, and shows signs of being housetrained. A peaceful environment will be crucial for his recovery, and we’re looking for a special home to give him the stability he needs.
We believe every dog deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life. Leif’s spirit hasn’t wavered, and we won’t give up on him. But we need your support more than ever. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement brings us one step closer to giving Leif the life he deserves.
