Meet Lyla! She is an absolute gem who wants to get away from shelter life. Lyla is under a lot of stress here at the shelter and can be dog selective at times because of this. She is extremely affectionate and outgoing, perfect for someone who wants a bud to take trips with! Lyla is five and a half years old, 62lbs, spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and ready to go home with you! Come meet Lyla today! Here are some remarks from someone who took her on an outing! Meet sweet Lyla - not an alumni yet but could be yours. We took her out to the greenway and Fort Clinch today, and we aren`t sure which one of us had more fun! If you are looking for a hiking buddy, this is your girl! She did great staying on the trails and listening to commands. She`s an extremely intelligent dog and a quick learner. She`s very curious about the world, and she was excited to ride in the car (she wanted a front seat but she understood `in the back`). She did very well when meeting kids and other dogs we encountered. She`s very vocal and high energy at the shelter, and it takes her a little while to be comfortable enough to show affection. Once she feels safe and can relax, she`s a real sweetheart
