My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker (A134997) is a 4-year-old Akita x GSD mix who weighed 43.2 pounds on intake!

06/24/24 This intelligent boy is Parker! Parker was surrendered to the shelter with his doggy friend Sarafina because their owner could no longer care for them. Parker was said to be dog-selective and should be slowly and carefully introduced to other dogs if introductions are made. Parker has no history with smaller critters and children. He was a little unsure of staff initially on arrival but quickly warmed up! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer so that he can continue working on his manners and build confidence. Parker was said to be kennel-trained and housebroken (will whine when he needs to go out). He was also said to know the command shake! If you are interested in meeting Parker, please let us know!
