Meet Winston Blue Eyes, our little darling little southern gentleman who is 6-7 years old, 10 pounds, and what we believe to be a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix. His story before coming to the rescue group, was that he is one of 9 dogs pulled from a hoarding situation. The dogs were kept outside, totally matted, full of fleas/ticks, and starving for everything from good to just a little attention. Winston Blue Eyes was not pulled for long from the hoarding situation for long before we found a very attentive foster home to take him and work with him. He needed manners taught, and Winston had to be partially shaved because of all his matts. As you can see firsthand, he is still an adorable little guy with the most wonderful blue eyes and clipped by the groomer to look like a little lion with his mane! Winston is shy when you first when you first meet him and it is very understandable considering his situation in the hoarding case. He is such a sweetie and he blossoms when he gets to know you and then the kisses and snuggles start. He also loves to explore outside in a clean and nicely mowed backyard. He is not totally housebroken which is so understandable considering the horrible conditions he moved from. He does get along well with his foster sisters and all his vetting is done with his neuter, vaccines, heartworm checked (negative), put on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, de-wormed, and microchipped. He is going to be someone’s prize companion. If you want more info on Winston, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com for an adoption form.
PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region. Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.
