My name is Burton!

Burton is an 11 year old Beagle/Boston terrier mix who we rescued from unfortunate conditions when we was 4 years old. He is now 11. Burton is a sweet dog who loves nothing more than to just cuddle up on the couch and get all the belly rubs he can! Unfortunately due to his past, he is very reactive and protective of those he loves and it takes him a long time to get comfortable around new people.

We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old child and as much as it breaks our heart, we no longer have the time to properly give Burton the love and attention he needs.

Burton has had a number of biting incidents when people have entered the house unexpectedly or approached him too quickly before he trusted them. He would be best in a home without many guests and with someone experienced in helping him resolve these fears. He is an extremely food motivated dog and is therefore easily trainable given the time and dedication.
