My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You know how the song goes...... "there we were just a-walking down the street, singing do wa diddy dum diddy DO!!" it was TRUE!!
We, four little adorable scared and skinny and covered in fleas pups, were walking down the street EARLY one morning..........
And LOTS of people passed us there , EXCEPT a wonderful woman, who just happens to be related to a VIP in the rescue :) (ok, we would have been saved either way but having a VIP in the rescue did help this time.....)
So, now we are the COUNTRY ROAD PUPPIES.
Tanya, Waylon, George and Willie we are named after some prolific artists, who started their careers out in the backroad bars and honky tonks and now are living their DREAMS!!
We are ready for OUR dreams to come true!!
ADOPT ONE of US and we WILL be your bestest crooners ever!

Submit Application

Please fill out the inquiry/application form and submit on our website.You will receive info from foster/counselor in return.

Approve Application

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Pay Fee

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made on our website through PayPal, Debit Card or any major credit card.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
