My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet itty bitty Gabino! He is ready for his forever home

~ GENDER: Male.

~ AGE: 2 years.

~ WEIGHT: 8 lbs.

~ HEIGHT: approx 11” (floor to shoulder).

~ BREED: Chihuahua mix.

~ PERSONALITY: Cuddly, affectionate, friendly.

~ ENERGY: Low-medium. He enjoys his daily walks but doesn’t need tons of exercise.

~ GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: Yes.

~ GETS ALONG WITH CATS: Not tested.

~ GETS ALONG WITH KIDS: Yes.

~ GOOD ON LEASH: He doesn’t have much experience on leash as he lives at a shelter where he runs free in the yard. He may need practice to get used to wearing a leash.

~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes, he is used to riding in his crate.

~ CRATE TRAINED: Yes.

~ HOUSE TRAINED: Not quite yet. Gabino lives at a rescue shelter and hasn’t had the opportunity to practice house training in a home setting.

~ BARKING LEVEL: Not excessive.

~ RESOURCE GUARDING: No.

~ ANY AGGRESSION: No.

~ RESCUE HISTORY: Gabino was rescued in Tonalá, Mexico along with three other dogs. They were dumped at the park and given poisoned sausages.  Fortunately their instinct protected them and none of them tried the food. Despite growing up on the streets, Gabino is a loving, affectionate, gentle dog with a knack for winning people’s hearts. Not to mention his adorable underbite, which makes him totally irresistible!

VETTING:

Fully vaccinated.

Neutered.

Dewormed.

SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma).

Distemper negative.

Flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

No known medical issues.

**PLEASE NOTE: Gabino is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.**
