My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bonded Senior Pugs Available for Adoption
Frank and Jessie are an adorable pair of senior pugs looking for their retirement home. They are both super sweet and chill. They do great with other dogs, even their slightly aggressive foster sister . These boys came from a home where they were definitely loved.
The vet estimates these gentlemen to be about 12 years old, in good overall health, with no life-threatening conditions, and a few remaining years left to enjoy life ♥️ .
Frank has dry eyes which require daily eye drops. He is visually impaired but sticks right with his brother and has no trouble. These boys love getting pets and scratches. They enjoy naps, long walks in the garden, snacks and mealtime.
Frank and Jessie are truly bonded, following each other around and almost always touching when sleeping. Do you have a couch that needs two adorable couch potatoes to keep it warm?
The fellas are each 26 lbs, neutered, and up-to-date on vetting. Though they have pretty good house manners now, they will need some time to adjust to a routine in a new home, like most rescues.
If being too cute was a crime, these boys would be convicted felons. Frank and Jessie are located in Charlotte, NC. Their adoption fees will be greatly reduced to place them in the right home. Please apply at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a very thorough process. We ask that people fill out our adoption application and submit to both a veterinary reference check where we call their vet to check on the care they give their own personal pets, and a home visit where one of our volunteers does a home inspection. Our adoption coordinator will also call the references that we require a potential adopter to list on the application. These references must not be family members. Our group bases adoption fees on the age and pedigree of the particular dog. We accept small Boston Terrier mixes into our rescue, as well as purebred Boston Terriers. Adopters also sign an adoption contract which is very thorough and requires they give the dog back to us if ever they cannot care for the dog any longer.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets are fostered in private foster homes. Meet and greets are available but must be scheduled with the potential adopter and foster family. We do host different adoption events at local stores when fosters and their foster dogs can attend.

We can always use volunteers, donations, people who are crafty!!! It takes all kinds and all talents to save these little guys! At BTRTOC, we like to say it takes a village to save the dogs.
