My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name, age, breed: Rio, 6 years, Boxer

Likes: Treats and being around people

Dislikes: Other dogs

What would be the ideal home? Rio would do best in a home with no children under 12 years of age. Best suited as the only pet in the household due to prey drive and trouble focusing around other dogs. Would do best with a adopter who has breed experience as Rio require mandatory obedience and has a high exercise requirement.

Good with other cats? No cats or small critters due to high prey drive.

Good with dogs? No, in the shelter Rio has shown aggression towards other dogs. He has a hard time focusing on his handler when in the presence of other animals. Due to this Rio would thrive best as the only pet in the household.

Good with children? No children under 12 years old

Temperament: Friendly towards people, and loves to spend as much time as possible with his people.

Motivators? Treats

Any commands? Sit (sometimes)

House trained? Unknown

Crate trained? Unknown

How long will it take to settle into a new environment? A few weeks

Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Rio is muzzle trained and does not mind wearing his muzzle. He is excited to go on walks, and does tend to pull very strongly on the leash.
