Hi, I’m Andie. I’m an 11 year old spayed Rat Terrier looking for a home now that my mom has passed away. She loved me so much giving me pets and treats (pig ears and chew bones).
I’d like a home where I can go in and out with a fenced yard. My new people should be loving and kind like mom. I’ll probably like their pets too if small like me.
I live outside most of the time; I like it but also have stayed inside before too when too hot or cold. I love my winter jacket; so cozy.
I could use some refreshing on potty training though.
Since mom passed I’ve been with my human sister. She loves me but those big dogs she has tend to run over me sometimes and push me around. I like her cats and they play with me too. I’m ok around horses and goats and never paid much attention to them.
Not reliable around chickens , I’ll sometimes pick it up and play around with it pretty rough.
I’m current on rabies and vaccination. Heart worm positive and on medication and monthly Advantage multi preventative topical.
I’m a sweet dog, love affection and like to be with my people. Like kids and to play with them. Suggest kids that understand to not be rough with me; don’t want to be accidentally hurt or hurt a small kid.
I like to eat when I want (self-feeder) and like an egg cracked over my food. Mom gave me her country cooking leftovers on my kibble sometimes and it was special.

Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.
Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.

We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.

Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip.
Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.
Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
