My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to one of the cutest gals around, Darla! Darla is a super sweet, beautiful and petite gal. She was born in October of 2023 and came into rescue as a tiny and extremely scared stray kitten with her best friend, Alfalfa. For the first several weeks in rescue Darla was not trusting of people and spent most of her time hiding in her cat tree with Alfalfa, where they both felt safe. Well, fast forward several months and with A LOT of love, patience, playtime and treats from her foster family, Darla is an entirely different kitten. She loves to play toys (batting around balls with bells inside is her favorite), purr while she's getting pets, and just be a silly, fun kitten. Darla's new family will need to make sure to give her time and patience while adjusting to new people and surroundings. Darla would do best in either an adult-only home or in a home with older children or children that can be patient and calm around her. Darla has been with her best friend, Alfalfa, since they were tiny kittens, and we'd love for them to be able to keep their bond and stay together. Darla is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. If you'd like to add this sweet gal to your family fill out an application at www.luckypawsmidwest.org.

More about this rescue

Lucky Paws Midwest's goal is to work with animal shelters, animal control facilities, rescues and individuals all across the U.S. to help place at risk animals into foster homes and eventually permanent homes.

Since we do not currently have a shelter, all animals are placed in foster homes. The majority of our foster homes reside in Western Wisconsin, but we are willing to work with people all over the country!
