My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Cash. I’m one of a litter of pups born on May 6, and I'm now ready for my forever home! Here are some things you should know about me:

Personality: I'm outgoing, playful, and full of energy. Give me some appropriate toys and watch me go! I love to explore and discover new things, so you have to keep an eye on me to make sure I don’t chew something I shouldn’t!  And while I'm always up for a good romp and play session, don't worry. I also adore snuggling up for some quality cuddle time.

Ideal Home: I'm looking for a home with people who can shower me with love and attention. It's important that my new family has the time to feed me three times a day until I'm 6 months old and won't be away for more than about 4 - 5 hours at a time. I'm still learning about the world, so I need help with socialization—introducing me to new people, places, and experiences, as well as house training – so I can grow into a confident adult.

Compatibility: I love playing with my litter mates, so a home with another dog would be great to help me burn off energy. A well trained adult dog can also be a great role model for me. A cat or kitten would probably be okay too, if they keep their claws in!  As for children, since I’m still just a puppy and like to jump up, I’d do best in a home with older kiddos - ages 8 and up should be just fine.

Why Choose Me: With my playful spirit and loving nature, I promise to bring endless joy and companionship to your home. Whether we're going on adventures together or simply cuddling up on the couch, I'll be your loyal companion through it all.

If you think I could be a good match for your family, please email Save the Strays for their application. My adoption fee is $300.

Please email info@savethestrays.org for our application.

2.

Additional adoption info

We are a home and foster care-based rescue, with no shelter facility or employees. Because our rescue dogs live in private homes, we ask those interested in adopting from us to complete our application as the first step in our process and only set up an appointment to meet the dog(s) in which they are interested after they are approved to adopt. Use our online application or email info@savethestrays.org to request an application.

More about this rescue

Save the Strays Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer 501c3 public charity and no-kill humane organization founded in 2004. Our mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted and abandoned dogs and provide lifelong care for any that are not adopted.

All of our dogs receive age-appropriate vaccinations. Dogs six months and older are spayed or neutered and tested for heartworms before adoption. Some of the dogs we rescue and make available for adoption are older, have suffered injuries or have treatable medical conditions. These have included blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with amputations, congenital deformities, and limited mobility, and dogs with heart conditions, diabetes and other chronic disorders. We disclose all known health conditions to potential adopters.

Because we do not euthanize rescued dogs to make room for others, some of these dogs may be with us for a number of years or even for life. Your donations help us pay for the care they need to maintain their quality of life in a loving home environment.
