My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes, dog-savvy cats
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes

Junior Moore is a sweet, mellow pup who's ready for endless cuddles and snuggles in his forever home! He will melt into a puddle for bellyrubs. He is an easy-going and well-behaved companion who will likely do well in any home ready to teach him the ropes of puppyhood!

Junior is a medium energy, where he loves to frolick in the grass and then crash hard with a nap for hours. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely be fine with or without a canine sibling. Junior has interacted well with another cat in the home, so he'd likely be fine with a dog-savvy cat sibling in the home due to his friendly disposition. He interacted well with kids while down south and his mild temperament will likely do well with another kid in the home.

He is a smart boy who is learning all the basic commands. Junior is crate-trained and house-trained. Junior is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. He may whimper for a minute or two when you get ready to leave but settles quickly. He has had minimal accidents since coming north and thrives on being taken out on a regular schedule and routine. He is working on his leash skills, as he hasn't had much experience, and will look to you for extra guidance and reassurance as he navigates his new environment.

Junior is a curious, lovable boy with so much love to give- is he the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
