Meet Thumper: Your Perfect Cuddle Buddy!
Thumper is the ultimate snuggle companion and an all-around sweetheart! Weighing in at just 50 pounds (he looks bigger in pictures!), he’s the perfect size for hugs and cuddles. This smart and attentive boy has been excelling in training, thanks to the generous folks at Komplete K9 MD LLC, where he tags along with his foster family’s pup. Thumper has already mastered commands like "sit" and "stay" and is working on others. His treat motivation makes him a quick learner, and his love for people and dogs alike makes him a favorite everywhere he goes! Thumper is crate trained and house trained. While he can be a little timid in new or busy places, he warms up beautifully with patience and love. City life isn’t the right fit for him, but he’d do great in a fenced in yard in the suburbs or even the country! Thumper would be okay with older kids, but until he works through his mouthiness, a home without young children would be best. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s as smart as he is sweet, Thumper is your guy!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
