My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sassy, fun-loving 8-year-old chihuahua lived in a home, then another home, then was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she was scared, struggling, and unfortunately given the “rescue only” tag, which means a rescue had to pull her. Since she has been here with us, she is doing great. She is unbelievably athletic, smart, and quite affectionate. She struggles with other dogs, so we are working with her on that. She is an absolute love and would make a wonderful companion.
We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce (Santa Clarita), CA, and in-person home checks for all adoptions. You can see more of Vera and all the other pups here who are waiting for their forever homes on our Instagram page; @thebrittanyfoundation

More about this rescue

Brittany Foundation is a non profit charity which rescues, rehabilitates, provides housing, and searches for new homes for homeless dogs. We focus on rescuing the harder-to-place dogs, such as pit bulls, chow chows, and older or special needs dogs. We have been successful in placing all types of dogs into loving homes. We are a no-kill facility and dogs stay with us until they are adopted. If they are not adopted, they have a home with us for the remainder of their lives.
