Meet Jess: A True Survivor Turned Sweetheart
Jess is a 1-year-old bundle of love who has overcome so much in her young life. When she arrived from Memphis, she was rescued from a tough situation and battling Parvo. She was terrified, shaking, crying, and needed constant comfort. But with time, care, and love, Jess has transformed into a healthy, vibrant, and goofy pup who now loves life!
Jess is making great progress with potty training (about 75% there) and is fully crate trained, both during the day and at night (although she adores snuggling with her foster mom at bedtime). She’s working on her basic commands and is excellent with other dogs, showing respect for their boundaries. Jess would thrive with a doggie sibling who loves to play and can patiently handle her occasional “annoying little sister” antics.
Because of her past, Jess is timid and sensitive to scolding. She needs a home with gentle, patient adopters who will shower her with love and build her confidence. Due to her fear of the leash from past trauma, Jess may not be a big adventurer, but when she does walk, she naturally keeps a perfect heel!
Jess’s ideal home would include:
• A doggie sibling to play with.
• No young children (she’s still learning to trust fully).
• A calm and loving environment where she can continue to thrive.
Her journey is a testament to the power of love and patience, and now she’s ready to find her forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, Jess is your girl!
