Barnum is a 6-month-old German Shorthair Pointer/ Texas Coonhound mix bundle of energy who’s always ready for an adventure! He loves his daily walks and enjoys zoomies in a spacious, fenced backyard. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, and he’s looking for a family that can keep up with his playful spirit.
He’s already crate-trained, potty-trained, and does wonderfully on the leash, making him an easy companion for outings and adventures. Barnum is also great in the car and behaves beautifully in public, whether he`s around kids or other dogs. And yes, he’s even cat-friendly!
After a day of excitement, Barnum knows how to wind down and is happy to cuddle up with his family on the couch. He’s super affectionate and has a playful side – he might even nibble on your ear while he cozies up in your lap.
Barnum is quick to learn and has already mastered several basic commands. In fact, it only took him a couple of days to learn how to use bells on the door to let his foster parents know when he needs to go outside.
If you`re looking for an active, loving, and well-mannered pup to join your family, Barnum might be your perfect match!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
