Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skip is a loving boy that has gone from being pretty timid around new people and dogs to being more extroverted and confident. He doesn’t exactly throw himself at new acquaintances but warms up to them pretty quickly.
Skip likes to lie near his people when napping and will often choose to lie next to you on the couch.
Skip loves to play in water! He likes outdoor activities and getting dirty. 😄
Skip is used to other dogs of various sizes and ages. He has a slight bit of food guarding towards other dogs but not when getting treats.
We don’t know about cats though we suspect calm or dog savvy cats will be fine.
Very young children may overwhelm and stress him at first but older ones should be fine.
Almost housetrained and holds it all night in his crate. Obviously crate trained.
Rides fine in a car.
Skip needs an adopter with dog experience as he is very intelligent and has typical border collie behaviors.
He learns fast, especially when treats are involved. He is probably a good agility prospect.
Not suited for an apartment.
Born March 11, 2024. Age calculator (adjust today’s date): https://www.calculator.net/age-calculator.html...
We think he will be a medium or medium-large dog when grown.
Dad is a border collie or bc mix from ranch dogs and mom is a border collie mix of unknown origin. Dad has an outstanding temperament and is easy-going yet eager to do things with his people, great with other dogs in most situations, listens very well, wonderful off leash, social with new people without pestering them, very smart, and loves to learn new tricks and behaviors. His babies have probably inherited at least some of those tendencies though how you raise them has a big impact.
