My story

Jerry is energetic, playful and great with other dogs. He walks well on a leash and rides easily in a vehicle. He is a little timid but after proper introductions, Jerry is very friendly and will lick your face constantly. He loave snuggling and will let you know when he wants to snuggle. An active household would be great. He has been in the shelter about six months and would love a new home. Please consider Jerry for your new companion.

Jerry is one year old and weighs 44 pounds.

All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.

· Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord
· Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment and proper care of the pet.

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
