Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Fawn, a 2-year-old female dog that is the total package: beauty AND brains! While her good looks speak for themselves, Fawn will show off just how smart she is -- especially if a treat is involved! This young lady knows basic commands like sit, stay, shake, lay down, outside. Fawn is currently in a foster care home, having a blast with her doggy sibling that she play wrestles with. At the end of a doggone long day, she will be looking for cuddle time with you. Fawn is a gentle soul with a heart of gold that she will give to you slowly, but surely after she gains your trust (reinforced with delicious snacks and ear scratches). If you are ready to give this gentle soul her furever home, please fill out an adoption application on our website at www.metrodetroitanimals.org.
For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).

Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (FAMD) brings a little more love into the world by celebrating the special bond between an animal and their “person.” At FAMD, we don’t just rescue dogs and cats, we make life-changing connections with the people who adopt them.
We bring our passion and animals into the community with events that help bring together dogs and cats with loving people. And our outreach programs help promote education and animal welfare legislation locally, so that fewer animals have to spend another minute waiting for their forever home.
FAMD’s new state-of-the-art Animal Adoption and Education Center at 16121 Reckinger Road in Dearborn offers animals comfortable housing and medical support. It’s where our staff and volunteers work every day to make Metro Detroit a happier, more loving place for both two-legged and four-legged creatures alike.
