My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are ready for an outside doggie that is the perfect mix between calm, goofy and lovable meet Honeybun!!!andlt;br/andgt;Honeybun was super scared at the shelter and it was dificult to help her out since she prefers a yard all for herslef and with so many doggies and noises she was feeling overwhelmed but a great Foster Parent took her in her house and has been discovering the confindent and real HONEYBUN!!andlt;br/andgt;Turns out honeybun just needs more time and patience to trust and love people. She adores kids, being next to them in the gentlest way; and gets super excited with puppies, without losing her tenderness, with puppies but must definitly needs to meet first other dogs because she loves her personal space and, I mean, at the end the day she is an older lady that has her limits and loves really well set up. She does get more wary with men than women and might take a little bit more time but witht he right amount of comprehension and love she will wag your tail for your for liiifeee.andlt;br/andgt;Her favorite play ground is the backyard, she loooveees having space for her zoomies and her dust baths!!! she looks so crazy rolling all the way around. Despite this, she is also kennel trained! and can tolerate being on the kennel for up to 8 hours, you just might need to convince her to get in because she just thrives being outside!! And she is a collectionist!! she will take all crazy and diverse things to her crate, like rocks, sticks or whatever she can find, she might be an uncomprehend artist or a crazy lady, who knows?andlt;br/andgt;She even has a particular way to let you know she needs to potty while she is in her kennel, she grunts at you, she wil not scratch, bark or do crazy jumps, like the decent old lady she is she will andamp;quot;discretlyandamp;quot; grunt at you for her private time outside. andlt;br/andgt;Take the time to meet her and get to win the trust! She is totally worth it, you will have calm times with the spark of sillysness with the solemnity of an oldie sweet heart.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
