WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, just walk right in.
Minnie is about 11 months old and weighs about 35 lbs. Unfortunately, she came into a shelter as a stray so we have no back history, more will be known about me soon. She was kenneled with male dogs at the shelter.
FROM HER FOSTER: Minnie is a curious, energetic 11 month old border collie mix. She is crate-trained (following her foster brother's lead, she calmly goes in her crate when I point at it). She is house-trained. She did have an accident inside the first night, but none since. The dog door still confuses/scares her. She sometimes will go out it, but will not come in unless she's following her foster brother.
Minnie is vocal occasionally. She lets out excited barks at mealtime and also when the kids are walking to and from school.
She is skittish in that young dog exploratory way. Loud noises, quick movements and strange objects in my hands (strange like a spoon or a spiral notebook, haha).
Minnie is learning basic commands quickly. She knows "sit" and "stay"; she likes to jump up when greeting people, so she is learning "down."
She would thrive with another dog in the home. She takes all of her cues from her foster brother. She loves playing tug and takeaway with him. Plus lots of napping, ear scratching and belly rubbing are acceptable substitutes from humans.
A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet.
If you are interested in Minnie, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event.
