Sweet little shrimp came in through a cruelty and neglect case. Shrimp is learning so much about how to dog, from his amazing foster home! The fosters shared the following with us:
`He has been around my 8 cats (including 1 kitten, the white one in the photos, they are besties & play together), my 3 dogs and he has played with Memphis, Trudey and Gin. The only thing he has never been around is kids but, I have been rewarding him HEAVILY around loud noises and my house isn`t the quietest, so he may be fine.
I have noticed he can be mouthy with play and does like to grab specifically at jackets. Very much in the way a hyper playful puppy would. I`ve been redirecting him with toys, which has worked well. He LOVES stuffed toys and plays fetch with tennis balls. He has worked on sit, down, stand, wait & recall. He is pretty terrible with a leash still, he kinda just flattens. We are getting there slowly. ?? He is mostly potty trained but still has pee related accidents. Quiet in the crate.
I will say the biggest thing I`ve noticed with him is he VERY much still acts like a puppy, he doesn`t act like a dog that`s over a year. He acts like how my two dogs did at 5-6 months old. He had me questioning his age estimate but, his teeth look over a year. ?? I think he just feels safe enough to be fun & playful for once, so it`s all coming out! He does calm down. ?? Just a baby.`
