Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mel is looking for her perfect match: a loving home where she can be the only pet and truly shine. Though she's currently timid of other animals, including cats, any reactions she has are driven purely by fear rather than aggression. Mel is making strides toward overcoming her fears, and she's even had multiple playful interactions with another dog after some careful introductions, showing that deep down, she wants to connect. Her journey to feel comfortable around other pets will need continued patience, with a dedicated handler who can guide her through her fears alongside a professional trainer. A younger adopter with a gentle approach could be ideal to help her blossom.
Mel is a huge cuddle bug and likes to stick near her person. Couch time is a fan favorite in her foster home, and she is always making her foster laugh with her silly antics (like sitting like a human or rolling up as tight as a cinnamon roll).
Mel would excel in dog sports-she's got the athleticism and drive to dominate any field! If sports aren't your thing, she'd also thrive in a semi-active home. While she's content to lounge on the couch all day, she needs regular exercise like any other dog, such as a 1-2 mile walk or a vigorous play session. Her favorite activity? The flirt pole-it's the highlight of her day, and she can't get enough!
Are you ready to help Mel unlock her full potential?
