Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Melissa is the mom of the year. She came to us as a stray with her young babies and adult baby from a previous litter. She kept these babies alive through the dead of winter, and tragedy of flea anemia. This mama stayed so strong for her babies until she reached SAMS. Now, she lives in a room with the few that have not been adopted, waiting for her turn. She watches birds on TV all day, and loves to cuddle with her babies, never getting annoyed at their constant needs. We love this girl and think she is a supermom!! While she is able to go home separate from her babies, why not take one with her?!

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
