Adoption fee is $150 11 month old Rose is still looking for those special people who are willing to give her a chance at life with her own family. This sweet shy girl has been in her foster home for 3 months and she has totally won their hearts. Once warmed up, Rose is a beautiful mix of silly and loving. At 50# Rose considers herself a lap dog and you will not convince her otherwise! First impressions are difficult for Rose. After spending a large majority of her puppy-hood as a stray or in a shelter, she missed crucial socialization skills that helps dogs navigate “stranger danger.” While introductions will likely be a struggle, with time, patience and the willingness to commit, Rose will show you her appreciation (it will likely take a few weeks) and is the sweetest snuggle bug!! Rosie is crate trained and keeps it dry and clean all day/night. She does also kennel on command (with some help from a treat if she’s being stubborn—hound life😆) House training is coming along great when kept on a schedule. Rose knows the commands sit and lay down. She’s also learning to “wait” until she’s told “yes” to approach her food bowl. When she gets let out of her kennel she enjoys collapsing to the ground until you give her love and belly rubs!🥰 Walks are another favorite of Roses (although, she does still need some leash training to not pull) Rose is very athletic and has some impressive jumping skills!! She is wonderful at entertaining herself (and her humans😂) by tossing around a toy and chasing after it. However, she would love to have a confident canine sibling in her home, to help her feel safe and see how amazing life truly is! Rose is a bit unsure of tiny humans and how fast they move. A home with children 12+ might be best. Rose just needs a chance! She promises she will reward your patience with all the love you could possibly ask for from a canine family member. You won’t regret it❤️ Adoption application can be found on sandipaws.org —ask for Rose🌹🐾 Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Additional adoption info

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.
Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
