My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who doesn't want a cat that fetches?

Johnnie Walker is a young adult cat with a heart as full as her playful personality. This sweet, confident girl is ready to find her forever home, and she’ll definitely keep things interesting. From her playful antics to her affectionate nature, she’s the kind of cat that will fill your days with fun and love.

Johnnie Walker is an energetic, adventurous lady with a curious streak that never quits. She’s got a talent for fetch and loves chasing after paper balls—watch out, because she’s faster than you think! She’s also a fan of flirt pole toys, pouncing, and exploring her environment. When she’s had enough playtime, she’s more than happy to curl up and cuddle with her favorite humans. Think of her as the perfect balance between wild and cuddly—she’ll play hard and nap even harder.

In her kittenhood, Johnnie Walker was the "supportive big sister" to her littermates, helping her more shy siblings find their courage. She’s got a nurturing side and a natural instinct to look out for those around her. She adores her fellow feline friends and often shows her affection by grooming them. If you have other cats in your home, Johnnie Walker will be the kind of companion who makes them feel safe and loved.

This confident kitty thrives on companionship—she’s currently loving life with her feline playmates and is eager to join in any game. While she enjoys being the center of attention, she also knows how to share it and will fit right in with a playful household. With proper slow introductions, she should do fine with children, other cats, and even cat-savvy dogs.

Johnnie Walker is the quintessential “textbook kitten”—her energy, her curiosity, and her playful nature are all hallmarks of a young adult cat who’s ready to embrace life, hopefully with you.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
