My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pearl is a 5 year old female who arrived at Safe Haven for Animals with a litter of four newborn kittens. She'd been surviving outside a mechanic's shop for years and had multiple litters of kittens. The shop was about to close down for businesss but they didn't want to leave Pearl behind with her newborns.

Pearl has a very sweet nature, the softest fur and loves to be petted. With so much of her life spent looking over litters of kittens, staying alert to predators and hunting for her own food, Pearl never got the chance to be a playful cat, but she is learning to embrace fun. Lately she's been playing with toys more frequently and really loves chasing dangling string toys. Pearl takes in the world and her surroundings with a pensive, concerned look. We know she would blossom and be so comfortable in a forever loving home. She is beautiful and delicate like an exotic Tahitian grey pearl. Pearl is very compatible with other cats and tends to nuture any other feline around her. We anticipate she may be fearful of dogs due to her life circumstance.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

There is an application and fee required for adoption of our kitties. We begin with a phone interview. If that goes well then an appointment is set up for the potential adopters to come and meet our kitties. If one is chosen a home inspection is scheduled. If that goes well the darling kitty is delivered and a follow up call will happen a week or so later.
