I love Crew! He is the sweetest boy! It takes him a few days to settle in but he is such a cuddle bug.
When it’s time for him to go to his crate, he sploots out on his belly and crawls, sometimes he bounces around talking to me about how he doesn’t want to (channeling his inner husky).
He is quiet in his crate, only barking when there is someone at the door.
He takes treats gently.
He doesn’t aggressively beg.
When he gets excited, he chomps his teeth and tries to flea me but he is easily redirected. I’ve started calling him “el chompo” 🤭
He keeps his crate clean. Has not had one single accident.
He is hysterical, he “bumps” everything he encounters for the first time to investigate it!
He loves to cuddle right next to me on the oversized chair.
He will go to the door when he wants out and lets you know when he wants back in. He doesn’t bark at a lot of things when he is outside. Just occasionally.
He loves to find things to play with outside, like toys/sticks/whatever interests him and he will throw it to himself and then chase it. He is hysterical!! Sometimes he just gets the zoomies and runs!
He takes his med well in the morning in a pill pocket.
Cons: he doesn’t seem to understand “no” so I clap my hands instead. Then tell him No. Such as when he grabs things he is not supposed to to chew on (like my weights!)
You cannot work out around him or be active/ on the floor stretching or even picking up the stuffed animals he fleeces, since he doesn’t understand yet what play is and isn’t so he gets confused and then gets overstimulated. He can bite down too hard at that point not understanding he can’t play that hard. He also gets so focused on play that he can be difficult to redirect and so requires someone experienced to understand him.
No kids because of his playing too hard and no cats. Not sure about other dogs.
On the leash he is fairly ok but pulls when he sees a squirrel so be prepared!
