My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Dandelion! I’m 8 months and ready to find a forever home! I’m leash trained, potty trained, and LOVE my crate. I even like to nap in there during the day if you leave the door open for me! I love treats and a yummy bone to gnaw on when I’m not chewing on my toys! My days consist of long naps and quiet exploration. While I do love to run around and get my energy out, cuddling is my favorite part of the day! I play well with dogs of all sizes. I’m a little skittish at first (especially with men) and take some time to warm up, but if you’re patient, I can show you just how much I love my people!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
