My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remembrance
Female
D.O.B.: 7/1/24
Estimated Full Grown Weight: 35-45 lbs
Breed: Terrier Mix

Hi! I’m Remembrance, but my family calls me Remy! I love being around dogs, cats, and kids and am both house and crate trained. I’m well-behaved when left uncrated for short periods and sleep fine in my crate—but I’d much rather curl up in bed with my human, especially on a pillow next to theirs! I’m learning to use talking buttons to ask for what I want. When I need to go outside, I press “Remy, Help” and walk to the door. When I’m hungry, I press “Remy, Remy, Remy!” and stand in my crate where I eat. If no one responds fast enough, I carry my "Remy" button around, playing my name on repeat until someone listens! I love car rides, either watching out the window or napping peacefully. Walks are my favorite, and I tremble with excitement when I see my harness! I do get a little too excited and pull, but I’m learning the command “back” to help with that. I’ve mastered ball chasing, zooming across the yard and switching tracks mid-run when I spot new toys. If something unexpected appears, I let out my adorable “aw-roo-roo-ruff” alarm bark until my human reassures me. I’m a super affectionate girl—kisses after naps are a must, and gentle belly rubs are my favorite when I’m sleepy. My best friend is the cat, and I show great patience when playing with her and other cats (though I am still a puppy, so sometimes I forget!). When I’m not playing or on yard patrol, I love lounging in the sun or snuggling up for a cozy nap. I’m looking for a loving family who will continue to guide me as I grow!  If you think I’d be a great fit for your home, apply to adopt me at www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5+.
