Hi Everyone- my name is Nico. I am a stunning medium length coated, black with silver undercoat.. I had a rough start out there at just 3 months of age trying to scavenge for food. Since being saved by this fab rescue, I've slowly grown accustomed to the finer things in life you know, food, warmth n love lol. Allowing me to have a quiet, toy filled room to get used to you and all the new sounds and smells of my furrrrrever home will nurture our connection and help me to bond with you- my new family! Foster mum describes me as exotic, alpha and clever. I'm approximately 18 months of age. I'm an INDOOR ONLY fancy feline but have had experience with a fab catio- and I highly recommend them lol. The home I seek is adult only. I have been in a foster home with a well-behaved dog and other foster kitties and get along with everyone. No chasing allowed-- thank you very much doggos!! Should you have a cat friendly dog I'm sure we'd get along just fine. I've had had my big op and first set of shots. Our kittens are adopted out through meet and greet events by appointment to approved adopters at our local Boselys st where we have a room for social distancing.Please see our Facebook page for more info .Prospective adopters are interviewed by our volunteers and a brief virtual home visit as well as vet reference check

Cats and kittens are sometimes adopted out from their foster homes as space is limited in kitten rooms at Bosley's Mill Bay , and Duncan locations.

Cowichan Cat Rescue is a federally registered charity, entirely staffed by volunteers and funded by donations, operating a trap, neuter, and return program (TNR) for feral cats in the Cowichan Valley since 1999. We take in all kittens found young enough to socialize, foster them until they spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and then adopt them to indoor homes. We also try to find barn and warehouse homes for feral cats which must be relocated due to loss of habitat or problems with property owners.
