My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Gilly – Your Future Cuddle Buddy!**

Gilly is an incredibly sweet, mild-mannered, and affectionate dog who’s sure to steal your heart. She is great with other dogs and cats, making her an excellent companion for a household with multiple pets. Gilly enjoys playing with other dogs but is equally content to relax and just hang out. When it comes to cats, she’s perfectly content to ignore them.

This lovely lady is a pro on a leash and walks beautifully with a harness, enjoying her daily strolls around the neighborhood. Gilly loves spending time in her crate, especially when she has a Kong or Nylabone to chew on. She’s not one to be overly excitable with people, but she can get a little carried away when playing with other dogs—she just can’t help herself!

If you're looking for a car buddy, Gilly will ride calmly, observing the world pass by from the backseat. She’s more of a homebody and prefers to relax on the couch with her favorite humans rather than heading out to crowded places. However, she’s always up for a trip to the park for a fun walk!

Gilly is a well-mannered girl who loves treats and takes them politely. She’d do great in a home with another dog around her size, but due to her tendency to hoard toys, she’d be best suited with a dog who isn't particularly toy-driven. Gilly’s favorite toys are the durable, tough-chewer types—she can go through stuffed toys pretty quickly, so strong, chew-resistant options are a must!

While she’s not much of a trick performer or a fetch enthusiast, Gilly makes up for it with her unmatched cuddling abilities. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves hugs and kisses, she’s the one for you. Gilly is not a barker, but she may alert you if she sees someone in the yard.

Gilly will thrive in a home where she’s not left alone for long periods. She loves getting outside several times a day for walks and, on sunny days, will find the perfect spot to soak up some sunshine indoors or out. In the evenings, she’s content to be your cozy couch companion, but don’t forget those regular walks to keep her fit and happy.

If you’re seeking a loving, low-maintenance dog who will fill your life with affection and relaxation, Gilly is ready to be your new best friend!

To meet Gilly, text her foster mom Catherine at (248) 722-2196 to make an appointment!
