It is with a heavy heart that we find ourselves needing to rehome our beloved dog, Hank. We’ve had him since he was just a puppy, and we affectionately refer to him as our Kroger dog, as we adopted him from someone giving away puppies outside the store. Hank is a gentle soul who gets along well with cats, female dogs, and even chickens, although he does have a playful instinct to chase them occasionally. Over the past two years, Hank has grown up alongside our 7-year-old son. Unfortunately, he doesn’t view our son as a primary member of the family and has shown signs of aggression towards him, particularly when we’re not around. This behavior has also extended to friends and cousins who visit us. Despite our efforts with online training for both Hank and our son, we haven’t seen the improvements we hoped for, and we’re concerned about the potential for things to escalate.
