My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 5/15/24
Minnie is sweet and mellow like her mom, a mini version of her in appearance and temperament. She is easy to care for, enjoys playing tag with her siblings and getting love from her people. Her favorite toy is a plastic cat spring. She has a mischievous side to her and will snatch items from a table or counter and carry them away as a new toy. Her favorite activities are hide and seek in cardboard boxes and reusable shopping bags, playing with strings, and chasing her siblings through the cat tunnel. Minnie is affectionate and will climb into a lap and ask for pets or to cuddle. She is a lovely and loving girl and will sleep in the bed with people at night. She is bonded with her brother Flash and needs to be adopted with him.

PLEASE READ:
Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home.
Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet.
Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier.
In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit.
