My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nova entered our care a few months back filthy, completed matted, and in bad shape. Her matts were so severe that her eyes were literally stuck in the open position. After months of attempting to heal her eyes with drops and other medicines, the vet team decided that her best possible future included a double enucleation (removal of her eyes). She has rebounded so well and gets around amazingly well after she learns her routes and where she can find comfy beds. She would do well in a home with other older/chill dogs who will be nice and accommodating. Nova is spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW-, and microchipped. Neshama Rescue is an all volunteer independent, 501(c)(3) animal welfare and education organization. Our mission is to promote the rescue and adoption of companion animals, with a focus on senior and special needs pets. We believe every soul has intrinsic value and we seek to help communities see that value to create a kinder world. Our goals are to rescue animals from shelters, place them in loving foster homes, and adopt them out to forever homes, as well as strengthen our communities’ education, laws and regulations regarding animal overpopulation and care.
