Sloane’s story is one of resilience and second chances. After spending a year in a rural South Carolina shelter with no interest from potential adopters, her fate seemed sealed when she landed on the euthanasia list. Her previous owner, once located, chose not to reclaim her, having lost interest upon learning she had been spayed. But just when her future looked bleak, a volunteer stepped up in a big way—offering to pay for Sloan to attend a board and train program, giving her the opportunity to grow and prepare for her forever home. Thanks to this generous act, Sloane’s life was saved. Now, we’re eagerly waiting for her to find the loving family she truly deserves, one that will never give up on her. We're still learning about Sloan but so far we have learned that she is VERY SWEET. Her energy level? After a nice short walk, she is usually snoring loudly by 7pm. While she can be excitable, s he is definitely a couch potato. She has done great meeting other dogs. She continues to learn so much and is thriving with the training she has had. She is super affectionate and loves to be petted and will follow her person around the house all day if you let her. At 2.5 years old, she will need a committed adopter who will continue her training to help her continue using all her skills she is building.
