FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: ` Today I took Osita to a nearby nursing home to visit the residents. They were so excited to have her back and many of the residents remembered her from a previous visit and exclaimed her name when we walked in! Osita is such a gentle, sweet dog. She jumped up to get into the car by herself, but just needed a little extra boost to get all the way in. She rode in the backseat so well and jumped out by herself. She liked sniffing around outside and when we got into the nursing home she stood calmly next to the residents and enjoyed pets. She likes the pepperoni treats I had and took them very gently from my hand. She is an absolute gem and I love spending time with her!`

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
