My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Cowboy - The Best Country Dog Ever! 🐾
Cowboy is a sweet, gentle shepherd mix who's been waiting for the perfect family at the shelter for 72 days. He’s ready to find a home where he can be loved, safe, and truly happy. Could that be with you?
🌟 Here’s what makes Cowboy special:
- Leash trained – He walks like a pro and is ready to explore the world with you.
- Neutered & up to date on shots – He's healthy and ready for his new adventure.
- Housebroken & Crate trained – No accidents here! Cowboy knows how to keep things tidy indoors.
- Super dog & cat friendly – Cowboy loves his furry friends and gets along great with other dogs and cats.
- Livestock-friendly – Chickens, horses, you name it – Cowboy does great around livestock too!
- Timid but loving – Cowboy can be a little shy around new people, but once he warms up, he’s a loyal, affectionate companion.
Cowboy has been in a foster home for the past month with other dogs and cats, and he’s been nothing short of amazing. He’s thriving in a calm, patient environment and showing how loving he can be.
🐶What Cowboy needs:
- A patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and space to build trust.
- A loving home where he can feel safe and continue to blossom into the confident, playful dog we know he is.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who gets along with everyone – both furry and feathered – Cowboy just might be the perfect fit. Come meet him today and see if you can be the family he’s been waiting for!
Adopt Cowboy and give him the forever home he deserves! 💕

More about this shelter

It is our mission to inform our community of the state laws and city ordinances in place for vaccinations, tethering/chaining, and sheltering needs. Any dog impounded by our shelter can be reclaimed by his rightful owner during a 72 hour hold period. If the dog brought in has any type of identification we will make reasonable effort to contact the owner and the hold period will be 5 business days. Once the hold period is up, all healthy/adoptable dogs will be put up for adoption or sent to a registered 501(c)3 rescue. Please LIKE and SHARE our page to see incoming dogs!
