Meet Kal! 🐾

Kal is back on the hunt for a home due to no fault of his own! Kal is a lovable 6-month-old German Shepherd/Bloodhound mix looking for his forever home. He’s a cuddly, smart boy who’s sure to steal your heart with his sweet nature and affectionate personality. Kal adores everyone he meets, including kids, and is ready to be your new best friend.

Though he’s still a playful puppy, Kal is already showing his intelligence and eagerness to learn, making him an ideal companion for an active family or individual. He loves snuggles, playtime, and exploring the world around him. Whether it’s a walk in the park or a lazy day at home, Kal will be by your side, ready for whatever adventure comes next.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of Dogs in our care are Spayed/Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm Tested, Vaccinated, and kept current on flea and heartworm preventative. Our adoption fee's are puppies under 6 months-$150, dogs over 6 months-$95, and purebred dogs vary. All of the Cats in our care are Spayed/Neutered, microchipped, Fiv/FeLV Tested, Vaccinated, and kept current on flea preventative. Our adoption fee's are kittens under 6 months-$70 and cats over 6 months-$50.

We do have an adoption application and do not do same day adoptions.

Go meet their pets

We are open Monday Thru Friday 10am-6pm and on Saturdays from 10am-2pm. We do recommend calling in advanced to make sure we will be open on weekends as we do attend offsite adoption events frequently! Call to make sure the dog you are interested is still at the shelter.

The Hill Country SPCA was chartered as a 501(c) (3) non profit organization in the state of Texas in October, 1997. We are a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter providing services to the Texas Hill Country. Our funding comes strictly from donations, grants, and fundraising events. We are not supported by tax dollars.
