My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Margo! My brother Henry and I were found lost in the wilderness. I‘m super friendly with people and love to be held, cuddled, and be the center of attention. I want to play with other dogs but need a lot of training, exposure, and patience to help me be comfortable and confident as sometimes I can be a bit much. I’m mostly potty trained but still have accidents on occasion, but I’m getting better and better at letting my foster parents know when I have to go outside. I LOVE LOVE going for hikes and regular walks (I’m up to 4 miles a day and thriving!) and just overall being outside. My favorite pastimes are chasing bugs in the grass, lying outside in the sun, and exploring the outdoors. I do have a high prey drive and will chase most other animals. I have a lot of energy and would do well with a big fenced in yard to run around in. I also think I would benefit the most with someone who is home most if not all of the day as I don’t do well on my own. I have no experience with small children so don’t know how I would do. I am crate trained and spayed.

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
