My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We came to know Sweets as a member of our outdoor cat colony who more than lived up to her name. She enjoys the company of other cats and people and is especially fond of food and napping. When we noticed that she was looking a bit rough around the edges as was drooling, we brought her in for a checkup, which revealed some dental issues as well as a diagnosis of FELV. Once we extracted her damaged teeth and brought her back to good health, she joined our indoor FELV community and has been thriving. Her fur has never looked better and she really enjoys being pampered. She is just a joy!! As she is FELV+, she will need to either be the only cat in your world or share space with other calm/non-dominant FELV+ cats.

If the interview goes well we will check any landlord or military housing before sending the pet home. Once confirmed the pet is allowed we will send the pet home.

Palmetto Animal League is a private, non-profit, No Kill animal rescue organization that believes every animal deserves a second chance at life.

PAL’s Adoption Center, located in Okatie, South Carolina, serves as a temporary residence for approximately 200 dogs and cats while they wait to find a loving home. Our comfortable, upbeat facility is also home to PAL’s Community Clinic, which offers wellness exams, vaccines and other vital services to pet owners at affordable prices.
