My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ava, the 5-year-old sweetheart who's ready to melt your heart! This playful and affectionate girl is an absolute delight, and her polite manners make her a dream to be around. Whether it's walking gracefully on a leash or enjoying a romp in the yard, Ava is always up for some fun. We think she might be a Doberman/Shepherd mix, but one thing's for sure-she's 100% a good girl! At a petite 45 lbs, Ava is the perfect size for snuggles and adventures alike, and she'll be sure to win you over with her sweet, doll-like charm.

Ava isn't just a joy to her people-she's also fantastic with other dogs and loves making new friends wherever she goes. Her friendly, easygoing nature means she fits in just about anywhere, and her wagging tail and warm personality will brighten your days. If you're looking for a well-mannered, loving companion who's always ready to spread a little happiness, Ava is your girl! Come meet this darling pup and see just how wonderful she truly is!

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
