My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Amethyst and Peaches!

These two incredibly sweet and inseparable female rabbits who are ready to hop into your heart and home! These two best friends have been through it all together, and they're looking for a forever family who will cherish them as much as they cherish each other.

Amethyst is a gentle and curious bunny, always eager to explore and make new discoveries, while Peaches is a loving and affectionate rabbit with a playful side. Together, they make the perfect pair, always sticking by each other's side and providing constant companionship. Their bond is unbreakable, and they will need to be adopted as a bonded pair to ensure they stay happy and healthy.

Both Amethyst and Peaches are friendly with people and enjoy being around humans. They love gentle pets, and just hanging out with their favorite humans. Their sweet personalities make them great pets for families or individuals who want a pair of loving rabbits to call their own.

In addition to their friendship with each other, these two adorable bunnies are also making progress in getting to know one of the staff member's dogs. While they're still getting used to the idea, their ability to form new friendships shows just how adaptable and social they are.

If you're looking for two delightful bunnies who are full of love and ready to be part of your family, Amethyst and Peaches are the perfect pair. Come meet them today - they're sure to steal your heart with their warmth, charm, and special bond!

Rabbits require a space to hop around in, a nice x-pen area to keep their food, litter box, comfy beds, and toys.

*Please see the BC SPCA rabbit care guide for a suitable set up:

Rabbits make great companions and many live freely in homes as they are social and enjoy being a part of the family. Hay to chew on is especially important and daily fresh greens for health too!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
