My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sigh….my name is Gia and I am pretty sad today. You see I first arrived at the shelter several months ago as a stray along with all of my litter mates. A kind stranger saw us running beside a very busy road. He was able to round us up, put us in his car, and then drive us to the shelter. Whew! What a relief to be off of that road. The shelter got us ready for adoption by giving us all of our vaccinations for our age, they gave us microchips, and they made sure we were altered. Then Oh Happy day! I was adopted! After just a few weeks my owner turned me in to another shelter and said I was a stray! What?? Did she forget that she adopted me and I was hers? Fortunately the shelter called Montgomery shelter and I was able to come back here where my friends were! Anyway I have rested up and I am now ready to try again! This time I hope to be adopted by a mature and responsible family.

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
